This is the official website of the NAMOR group – Nanoscience Modelling in Rio.

We are a theoretical condensed matter physics research group based at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

Our interests include the basic science of semiconductors, carbon nanomaterials, surface physics, organic molecules and their applications. We develop computer models based on several methods such as tight binding, effective mass theory and density functional theory.
